The history of the Volts....where do i begin....It's not just a list of things we've done in the past. This is a chronicling
 of our rise, TO POWER!!!!

The band formed in late 2002 with Johnno (Lead Guitar) Prousty (vocals) Jake (Bass) and Arthur (Drums).

This line up did the bonfire gig which ended in all sorts with Arthur getting blind drunk (off about 3 beers mind you) before the show stuffing it up for everyone. The other boys wouldn't have it, getting rid of him that night. Later (that night) finding Matthew Fitzpatrick, who has ever since drummed for the Volts.

It wasn't however, always 'the Volts', with the band going through several names (eg. Sulcus, Manix) before finding the right one.
In late July last year the lads had their Breakthrough gig, getting a great turn out of 300 ("we rocked them all" says vocalist Tim) all to see them. They blew the roof off with their attack on the show being quite superb, they left the crowd bleeding for MORE!

On one particular night, at a talent show, the band came across the amazing talent which lay dorment inside Burkey, (Matt Burke) a fellow school mate of theirs, later to be crowned one of the Volts members.

Since then they have done many minor gigs and are ever developing and inproving their live performances.

During the months in lock down, writing songs, the band's guitarist Johnno and Bass player PB had creative differences and a falling out.
PB left the band's line up but agreed to help around with recording and photography. In the coming weeks the band welcolmed Peebs back after he accepted an SOS from the band who were in dire need of a drummer. With Peebs being multi-talented in the Drum department as well, he was a kickass candidate.
In the crazy-ass month called September, the Volts rocked the little grey socks off, a central coast high school. Peebs filled in on the drums and did a smashing performance having never heard 2 of the Volts own songs, 'the way i am' and 'the get go'.
An EP is planning and is hoping to be released in the not too distant future. See the EP page for details.
